2000s TV Shows for Cozy Season

As the days become shorter (I HATE DAYLIGHT SAVING) and the weather becomes colder we need good TV shows to carry us until summer. So here is the perfect list of 2000s TV shows for this cozy season.

1. One Tree Hill

White basketball players never looked so good. This TV show was so messy and honestly that is a staple element for most of the TV shows on this list. However, we meet Lucas and Nate Scott, two half brothers who fight for a place on their school’s basketball team. We watch as they get through their daddy issues and deal with growing up. Also, the theme song is so catchy.

2. Gilmore Girls

What is this list without Gilmore Girls? It’s absolutely nothing. This show created countless tik tok sounds. I mean what’s a baking tik tok without Emily Gilmore calling out Loralai on her questionable relationships #fightmechristopher. Anyways, Gilmore Girls follows my academic inspiration Rory Gilmore joins a posh private school but in order to that her mother and herself are forced to reunite with her estranged grandparents and we watch as she develops and makes questionable choices (it’s a genetic thing). Whilst we also follow the life of icon Loralai Gilmore.

3. The OC

I am personally convinced that Seth Cohen birthed most sassy men in teen dramas, he walked so Stiles Stilinski could run. Anyhow, we start the show with *From the Ghetto* Ryan moves in with the Cohens, a richer upper class family (most importantly the icon Seth). We watch as they navigate teenage life. If you do watch this, sure you keep a punch count.

4. 90210

A spin-off of the original Beverly Hills 90210. We follow another set of too rich kids who go to West Beverly Hills High. Consumed with trying to graduate and beginning their adult lives. This show is messy but perfect to watch while drinking hot chocolate.

5. Veronica Mars

When the voice of Gossip Girl becomes a baddie detective. Veronica Mars, whilst having one of the coolest names ever, is traumatised after the death of her best friend and makes it  her mission to solve the murder mysteries of her town. Meanwhile, dealing with trivial teenage things such as relationships #LOVE4LIFE and school.

6. Dawson’s Creek

As a population we got one of the best ships in the world from this show. You have to watch to find out which one I’m talking about.Dawson’s Creek introduces us to two besties Dawson and Joey and the struggles of having an opposite sex bff when you grow up and start dating other people.Answering the question can you really have a girl best friend or a boy best friend without it getting weird.

7. Gossip Girl

Ugh what is this list without gossip girl. If you are reading this and you have never watched gossip girl this is your sign. WATCH IT NOW. We join the show when It girl of New York Serena Van Der Woodsen comes back from self exile after leaving a storm of chaos behind. We watch as Serena tries to reconcile with her friends and starts to fall with new boy Dan whilst being watched by the somewhat all seeing and all knowing Gossip Girl.

8. Pretty Little Liar

Gossip Girl on crack and with an extremely vengeful and violent streak is the nice way of describing the character that is A. 4 girls come together after the body of their missing friend for a year is found. Then they all start getting messages from the mysterious A. Each liar has their own secret that A knows and  exploits. We all watch as the liars try and work out what happened to Allison on the day he went missing and who the hell A is.

9. Teen Wolf

We come for the werewolves and stay for the only human. I promise if you stay until season 3 you will witness some of the best television ever. We meet Scott Mcall, an awkward teenager who gets bitten the day before sophomore year and he tries to deal with that with the help of his iconic best friend Stiles Stilinski.

10. The Vampire Diaries

How I wished to be Elena Gilbert. Two Vampire brothers obsessed with me and continually serving with my tank tops. Based on the book by the same name written by L.J Smith it follows Elena a girl who falls in love with Stephan Salvatore, someone who she thinks is a normal human little does she know she is about to get involved in the least normal thing ever. Did anyone hear doppleganger. Just me.OK.

11. Hart of Dixie

This show is so underrated and does not get  talked about nearly enough. I mean Summer Roberts as a doctor in a southern town called Bluebell sounds like my cup of tea. As an audience we view as Dr Zoe Hart finds out that her dad Dr Wilkins left her half of a practice in Bluebell and she has to deal with her new job and her annoying neighbour and her extremely inappropriate crush.

12. The Originals

One of the only spin offs that has ever mattered. This tv show illustrates exactly what happens when The Originals clan is left free and roaming in their original hunting grounds of New Orleans. We watch as they meet old people that they have pissed off and new enemies emerge.

As the weather becomes colder you must be equipped with the correct shows for this cozy season stay warm out there and don’t forget that hot chocolate is your best friend.
